Thank you for visiting our site and considering Confidence Shooting School to help you learn firearm safety and shooting. Training new and beginner shooters is our passion and specialization.
Our number one goal is to teach people the use of firearms in a safe and FUN manner. Shooting and training should be fun. It should be memorable. It HAS to be relevant. Each one of these aspects will be apparent in every class you take with us.
We invite you to read more to find out what we are about.
Believe it or not, I started out as a School Teacher for Seminole County Public Schools. I have been teaching for 20 years in the area of Special Education.
Now I never thought I would be a gun owner. Then my son was born and my whole world changed. At that point, I knew that no person was going to take him from me or me away from him. So we purchased our first firearm. I started learning and never stopped.
The experience I have had as a new shooter, taking many training sessions (some good and some bad), working with many instructors, and being a teacher myself helped me develop the skills I have today to help you. I have a unique understanding of how people learn, teaching strategies and knowing how much to push and praise a student learning a new skill. This is what sets me apart. And to this day, even though I am an instructor, I am still learning myself.
Read some of our testimonials to see how this has helped some of our previous students!
Of Course not!
This is a common subject that comes up. Military and law enforcement trainings are incredible for police officers and soldiers. The rules, procedures, and thresholds of firearm use are different as an officer/soldier than they are for average citizens. Their training is also different. They deserve our highest respect and honor for putting their lives on the line. We are *not* police officers or soldiers.
At our school, you will learn as students looking for knowledge and skills to become more responsible gun owners. As gun owners, we are more than likely regular citizens leading our normal lives. This is where I come in. I am like all of you, an average person taking the steps to protect themselves and loved ones as a regular citizen. A person who took it one-step at a time.
This is where I get to "show off" how good I am... right?
My answer: I am never good enough!
Training should always be ongoing, especially for instructors. Instructors are the ones that should be hungry for learning more in order to help their students better. But it is also highly important to verify the credentials of any instructor you are considering. Especially for something as important as handling a firearm.
